A few days before we left on the boat trip, the Contractor, my In-Laws and I visited Aunt Gail at her home on Swan Lake in Burlington, WI.
While we visited, the Contractor worked on Aunt Gail’s deck on Swan Lake, which was in need of a new board and a new connection piece. He also helped with cleaning out the roof gutters. We LOVE visiting with Aunt Gail, she is an artist and always brings something new and exciting to the discussion. She is SO much fun!!
The next day we got to see Gail AGAIN! We ended up going to Gino’s East Pizzeria in Lake Geneva. They are home to Chicago style deep dish pizza and are DELICIOUS! If you ever get a chance to go… GO!!
We then headed back to Wonder Lake and completed our preparations for the boat trip. The next morning, Vern, my Father-in-Law, made one last breakfast of special pancakes for us, which was incredible. The pancakes are made super thin, we then put lemon juice and sugar on them, roll them up and gobble them up.
The next day we headed to Racine, Wisconsin, where the Cheryl Ann is stored. The Cheryl Ann is a 46′ Jarvis Newman, it was custom built in 1987 by Rantuccio Boat Works. The owners are my in-laws, Vern and Cheryl Ann.
We left Racine and headed to our first stop, Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Not sure where we are headed after that, but I am sure it is going to be a fun trip!!
That’s it for now
